Lots of stuff

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy. Since I last posted I've graduated, turned 18 and started to like sudoku. I recently bought the game brain age 2, and in this game is a sub game called sudoku. I've never really understood sudoku so I decided to play it. I've become hooked. I'm either training or playing sudoku. OH!!!!! I also got a job. I clean offices at night. It doesn't pay that well, but she said if I do good work I could get a raise.
Trent's intestines are realy hurting today. My mom is taking him in. Guess I better go.

Your body is a gift.

There is a Buddhist saying that goes " Your body is a gift from your parents and Buddha, it was given to be used, do not waste this precious gift." While I am not a Buddhist I do agree with this saying( not the part about Buddha though). God gave you your body so you can use it. Don't waste your body by sleeping or watching t.v. all day. You also shouldn't abuse it by eating crap. Exercise and a healthy diet are the best ways to treat your body as a gift. As the bible says your body is a temple, and you wouldn't throw unknown chemicals into a temple.

Busy Bum

Since I got out of school I've really just been a bum. This may sound suprising, but being a bum is harder than being a student. When you're a bum people think that you don't have anything to do, so they give you stuff to do. Little do they know that I do have things to do and when they just keep adding things on it gets very hectic. Anyways I think I will get a job, or at least volunteer a bit. That will be a good way to have my mom, um... I mean people, stop thinking I have nothing to do and giving me a ton and a half of chores. If anyone knows of any good jobs, let me know.

OOPS, again

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I completely forgot until today. About 2 or 3 days ago I was bored, so I decided to play with some sticks that I have in my room. Well i misjudged my reach and completely shattered the thing that covers the overhead light in my room. Luckily Mom was taking a nap at the time so she didn't get to mad. To make up for it I had to completely rearrange her room. While doing that I broke her bed frame that has been in her family for 50 years. We were able to nail it back together, but it took a lot of work. That night was also Ryan's birthday party. Luckily I was able to convince mom to drive me, who knows what I would've destroyed with my car! =) That's about all, I guess. Nothing excellent here.

excellent oops

Sorry I haven't written in a long time. I was visiting my sister in Portland. Anyways like I said in an earlier post I try to do everything excellently, including make mistakes. Last night as I was getting Gatorade from the back of the fridge I accidentally spilled my mom's iced tea. It was an awesome spill that covered the entire kitchen and got all over everyone. So I guess the point of today's post is that when you say you want to do everything with excellence, then do everything excellently.

Ultimate excellence

Today is a day when we all come together and remember the most excellent man who ever lived. Jesus Christ never committed a sin. He couldn't improve any more because he was( and is) already perfect. Jesus is who we all should strive to be like. Whether your man, woman or child you should read of his works daily and apply them to your life. We should strive to be like him because he is the Ultimate in excellence.

Don't think you can, know you can

If you've ever seen "The Matrix" you probably remember Neo's training. Morpheus is constantly repeating the phrase "don't think, know. " Neo followed his advice and he did what at first was impossible, landed a hit on Morpheus. This applies to our own self improvement as well. Don't think you can run 5 miles, don't think you can bench 300 lbs, don't think you can shatter bricks, know you can. Of course a little bit later in the movie Neo has to jump from one building to another 50 stories up above a busy street, and he fails. Sometimes no amount of belief can make you succeed, so you must train that much harder.

Nothing to say.......

I've tried to think of some thing wise and cool to talk about, but I couldn't think of anything. So I guess I'll just talk about breaking bricks. This is a classical feat of martial strength. My mom constantly asks why I would want to do that. My answer is always because it is fun. Who doesn't like the feeling of crushin something. It's like steping on an ant or stomping ice till it cracks. You do it cause you can. I guess that's all.

Quote

I was looking stuff up online when I found this very cool quote. It is by a man named Lao Tzu. The beginning part goes:
" When you see excellence you should strive to surpass it..."
This can be applied to anything. If you see an excellent martial artist, you should strive to surpass him. If you see an excellent photographer surpass him. Whatever your hobby you could always get better and there will always be someone better than you. Many people have said the quote " shoot for the moon, if you miss you will land among the stars."

I guess I will end for now. I have training to do.

The beginning

Almost everyone in my family has a blog, so I decided to get one! I have no friends, so the only people who will be reading this is my Mom and my sister.
Anyways, you are probably wondering why I chose to call my blog Everything with Excellence. I chose that name because, though I don't really live up to it, that is my philosophy for life. I believe that when you do something you should do it excellently, even when no one notices it. My sister is probably dead from laughter, so I better stop now.

Goodbye!!!
